| Flair to call it a day? As first revealed in the PWInsider.com Elite section, there is a lot of talk that Ric Flair, the 16 (or 21) time World Champion, is preparing to call it a career. Sources close to the situation have revealed that plans have been discussed for Flair to wrestle the final match of his 30-plus year career at Wrestlemania 24 on March 30, 2008 in Orlando, Florida. While WWE and Flair have yet to confirm this publicly, it is also believed that Flair will be inducted into the WWE Hall OF Fame that same weekend.
While there is no doubt that Ric Flair belongs in any professional wrestling Hall Of Fame (his continuing to work as a full-time wrestler is the only reason WWE hasn't inducted him in the past), an interesting question has been raised, which leads to today's poll question. In the history of the WWE Hall Of Fame, only once has WWE chosen to induct a single person. That was 1993, when the Hall Of Fame was created with the legendary Andre The Giant as the sole first inductee. Since then, WWE has always inducted groups of wrestlers into the Hall Of Fame. Not even Hulk Hogan was given the spotlight solely to himself when he was inducted into the Hall OF Fame.
Ric Flair could be the one instance where WWE chooses to break their unwritten rule. It has been suggested in the PWInsider.com Elite section that the entire Hall Of Fame ceremony could be devoted to Flair and his career, with a slew of presenters giving their thoughts and memories on Flair during the final weekend of his active career.
