| Re: Tom Dogg !! I need some MLB help Well, I've always been big on the "Buy Low, Sell High" theory. Like, I try to give away guys who've outperformed expectations for established players who have been slumping.
So, for instance, I just made a trade in which I sent Matt Holliday (absolutely killing the ball...will end the year with good numbers, but will probably slow down) and Troy Glaus (batting .294 after batting around .250 for like 8 straight years...which means he'll probably bat .200 here on out) for Lance Berkman (monster numbers almost every year) and Garrett Atkins (who just came around after an awful start).
Like, I got good production out of Holliday and Glaus, so when they inevitably go on slumps, it'll be for someone else. And when Berkman and Atkins get hot and do what they're capable of, it'll be for my team.
That said, I don't see many "sell high" candidates on your team. Hardy, maybe, but you've got him at a low salary...Let me keep looking and I'll see what I can come up with...
I've also never been in a salary cap league, so I don't know the nuances of that sort of league.
Grrrrrr...I just tried sorting through MLB's stats pages to see if I could find guys career post-All Star break splits, but they would only give me career full season...grrr....lemme keep looking...
Also, how does the scoring work in your league? |
