I saw the replay. I'm not sure, but I think there's a rule that if you swing and miss and the ball hits you, you are out. If that is the case, then the ump ruled that the ball hit Blake, not the bat, and thus it's a swing and miss, not a foul ball.
I'm not 100% sure if thats the rule, but that seems to make the most sense |
