Re: Spike TV Upset With Recent TNA Angle, & More

Meh, I'm cool with it. It is a TV show and god damn daytime TV sitcoms have shown women getting a backhander from guys before. It's not good, it's not what you want people thinking "I'm going to do this as soon as the TV is off" but it is a TV show. And it is a "wrestling" TV show. Maybe they're TV execs haven't watched wrestling in 30 or 40 years or something.

Whilst I'm ranting here, this puts me in mind of the times a kid gets beaten by another kid and they say the bully was doing "wrestling moves" on the poor child. I just don't get that. If they were throwing another kid around, punching him or smashing him on the head with something....that is not a "wrestling move". That is their defence counsel trying to intimate that this kid is bad and TV made him bad so don't penalise him so harshly. Kids were bashing each other and throwing each other around long before wrestling was on TV.

I mean yes, if the bully has the other kid in a figure four leg lock, or has pulled a frankensteiner from the top of the stairs on the child....then yes, that possibly is a wrestling move!!
