Re: Moores Named New England Coach

Personally I would have preferred England to use the management structure that Shane Warne has said teams should use, i.e a team "manager" that has basically collates all the coaching requirements of the players.

A player at Test level shouldn't need random holistic coaching from just one guy, if he needs coaching, e.g if he's a batsman, then the team manager should arrange that with a specialist, like Boycott or Gooch for example. Likewise for bowlers and wicketkeepers. A solitary coach cannot be able to assist all players at all things.

If England wish to go down this route, Moores is as good an "English" selection as we could make. An interesting international selection may have been Tom Moody. Especially with his Anglo connnections.
