Re: NBA Regular Season Discussion Thread

Personaly I think the Nets will win to, all there top guys are back but Its going to be entertaining none the less. The possiblity of the Red Sea/Army being out in full force (MLSE asked fans to wear red shirts, other fans printing custom shirts to hand out at games) The always entertaining crowd chants when Vince Carter is in town and a big test for the raps as well.

Though if The raps do want to win they need Graham to keep playing solid defense like hes been playing lately, keep rolling with his double doubles and hopefully Bargnani back from injury without to much rust (Not really a possiblity, Bargs is way out of shape apparently but he did run a double practice afew days ago) all of which im counting on. The only reason I think the Nets will win is because the Raps are prone to looking deflated on the road where the Nets are a pretty consistant team anywhere.

<__< Just to add...The Drama has started

Dave: Vince at Toronto would be a zoo. He can't possibly want that matchup, could he?
Brian G.

Bri: You have no idea. A bunch of guys said yesterday that is precisely what he wants (Antoine: "He's up for it. I don't think there's any doubt about it. He wants it"), and you'll read more about it on the print side tomorrow. The question, of course, is this: How's he going to handle it? He's had two horrid games at the ACC this year (29 points total, on 9-for-32) after owning the joint in his previous visits. So after all the abuse he's taken there, if you're into karmic justice, you kind of hope that he walks into the place, remembers that he built it, and then proceeds to tear it apart. Say this much for him: He's been the best player in the NBA in the last few weeks, and the numbers (32.0 ppg, 7.5 rpg, 6.8 apg) show it.

The same team that has a fan base that now despises him, regards him as a quitter, and will do its best to crush him mentally.

To which Carter says this: Bring it.
