One other thing I disagree with is the comments about the starting pitching. First off, there's only one "rookie" at the back end of the rotation (Maine). Perez has been in the majors since 2002 and has 111 career starts.

In addition, the 2006 Tigers and 2003 Marlins are examples of how far a team can go with young starting pitching. Especially the Marlins, who started 21 year old Dontrelle Willis, 23 year old Josh Beckett and 25 year old Bred Penny. Plus, Carl Pavano was only 27, still pretty young.
