| Re: NFL 2007 Offseason Discussion Thread Dude, I never said the Pats organization is any worse to their players than the rest of the NFL -- I said they're all exactly the same. It's a business, I'm not arguing that at all. Cutting those players was good business and good for the team, of course.
My point is that Patriots fans paint this bizarre image of their organization as some kind of bible camp, where bad people become good citizens, and it's all about the team, and everyone stays in line. Which just isn't true. Yet you say New England would be the ideal place for Randy Moss to "showcase his good personality traits" -- what the hell does that even mean? I see why he'd want to go to a winning team, sure, but not how a Patriots uniform would turn him into Barry Sanders or Reggie White.
I don't actually hate the Patriots -- hell, I cheered for them in the first two rounds of this year's playoffs -- but as soon as I browse the internet and listen to the way Pats/Red Sox fans talk about their teams, I can't stand it. I don't mean that personally either; you're fun to chat with, even if you are a complete homer.
PS. "If you can play, you get paid"? "Wes Welker"? Congratulations, you just came up with the worst example in the history of the internet. |
