It depends I guess. If he genuinely believes football is truly about the beautiful game and not honours as a solitary target, then I should have thought he's fine with his decision regarding the League Cup.
He's at a club where he is not under pressure through lack of honours in the last few years, and I think most people see that within a year or two they could be on the verge of something truly glorious era for their club.
He'll be as mad as hell that they have spurned their opportunities this season, but if he's looking at the bigger picture (which I suspect he is) then he won't be peturbed come the end of the season so long as they retain their Champions League spot. |
