I don't mind the odd rap song, if it has decent lyrics. I have always liked Eminem. But I hate hearing about bitches, hoes, weed, coke, pimps, bling, asses etc. I feel like recently every song and music video is just a rehash of the previous one.
I don't know about anywhere else, but country is on a huge upswing here. Most bars in my town have a country night, there have been a few that have opened that exclusivly play country, and they would have never happened 5 years ago. We have farmers daughters nights all the time now. It's huge with the university crowd around here in Southern Ontario. I think that might have something to do with it. I know people who used to be huge rap fans, that love country now. |
