Simple soloution. All teams involved in European football should automatically be eliminated from domestic cups if they draw with teams. Increases excitement, the opportunity for "lesser" teams to progress and removes Arsene's gripes about fixture congestion.
Arsene's suggestion simply moves the goalpost's to give his team the best chance to progress. He has the fittest team in England so he is more likley to win in Extra Time.
Why bend the rules to suit a team that has the best cup record in recent years. Why not bend them the way to suit the majority not the privilledged few? |
