I think they were angry due to the wrongly disallowed goal and a stong penalty claim turned down. Then when the ref let Giggs goal stand that was all they could take.
The coach said today if Man Utd had scored it would have stood, if Utd had appealed in the same situation they would have got a penality and the quick free kick if taken by Lille probably would have to have been retaken, because Utd are a much bigger team and ref always seem to favour the big teams. Hard to arguee the favouring the big teams part so while i disagree with it i think he makes a good point.
I heard a rumour today also, saying that because Lille have lodged an offical complaint, UEFA might have the match replayed. Lille will most likely get fined for the crowd throwing stuff tho.
