The Mariners found a way to prop up a pitching rotation in desperate need of help, agreeing to trade hard-throwing reliever Rafael Soriano to Atlanta for left-hander Horacio Ramirez, several media outlets reported Wednesday.
The Mariners are expected to announce the deal soon.
"There were physicals, but they're all done and it's going through," a major-league front-office source told the Seattle Times. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2689101 |
This isn't a bad deal but nothing great. The braves were seeking bullpen help and cosistent help and the Mariners were seeking a solid 3 starter and both teams received what they were looking for. Both talent are equal I think and I don't see any team getting riped of, it was a fair deal.
Thoughts?
