I can't believe people are actually using Vandy as an example that UM is better than UF.
No.1, Vandy
ALWAYS gets up for our game...always!
No.2, UM caught Vandy in the first game of the season with a brand new QB that hadn't seen any significant playing time.
No.3, UM had them at home where 90,000 fans were screaming and cheering for UM... and yeah it was 90,000 UM fans because I doubt Vandy had more than a couple of thousand there on their side.
I watched the game and I thought Vandy played UM pretty tough the entire game. But turnovers and rookie qb mistakes pretty well kept them out of the game. And don't use a 1AA opponent that was scheduled at the last minute as another example... UM played Ball State, enough said.
Yeah, I'm probably a little biased but then again who isn't? Everyone knows that in any normal year that a #2 loses to a #1 they drop out of the top 3-5 every time... except for this year for some reason. I think when it came down to the final vote, the voters went and looked at the resumes of both teams and decided who to vote for that way. I personally think they came up with the correct decision.
