| Commenting on the Big Hurt signing, it definitely sparked a big interest back in the Jays for me but its also a very big chance. Lotta money for someone that is 38(and very slow). Pitching was the real problem last year. They still need bullpen help and most likely a 5th starter. With the amount of money thrown at Thomas, unless they get a salary increase, they really dont have much cash to spend. In addition, you have your own free agents. Correct me if Im wrong, but I believe Speier, Lilly, Zaun and Molina are free agents. If Speier walks, your bullpen only gets worse. Lilly's certainly gone, Cat's gone. Also heard they're interested in Barajas, who could be their new catcher. Overall, a big risk. Im definitely excited though. |
