Good post. I always used to TRY and do this but either (a) I would mess up by trying to jump on them at the first opportunity or (b) I'd play it like you said and then within 48 hours she'd have hooked up with a new guy and they'd be married within a month!

I fully realise that this doesn't help a bit!
