Most times this is seen as an accident even if someone is at fault. I'd guess %90 of these cases get plead bargains and no time is served but a fine and loss of license etc. Keep in mine this was an accident and could happen to anyone. I don't see a reason to send someone to jail for a car accident even if someone died. It was a tragic accident.
I hit someone from behind before and I had very little time to stop. I got lucky and only bumped them There were 2 kids in the back seat standing looking out the back window. I was pretty angry after the shock wore off. The mother didn't even have them sitting let alone in car seats. |
