Champion of the Lightweight division Sean Sherk is still recovering from an injury suffered in his championship winning performance against Kenny Florian. Because of that, Dana White mentioned the Sherk-Franca title bout would likely be held off until July.
Hermes Franca gained his eighth straight victory last night by scoring a TKO stoppage win over Spencer Fisher. After the bout Franca pulled a GSP-and got on his knees to request a title shot from Dana White. The purple-haired Brazilian apparently got his wish.

Sherk better win and further establish himself as a force in the Lightweight Divsion. Sherk has a good chin to he toke alot of Kennys shots in there fight so it will be interesting to seee how it unfolds
