Sunderland midfielder Graham Kavanagh has been passed fit after complications following knee cartilage surgery.
However, the Black Cats will be without defenders Kenny Cunningham (knee) and Stephen Wright (ankle), though they should return early in the new year.
Preston Team News:
Preston are missing the banned Danny Dichio, but they hope Brett Ormerod and Danny Pugh both overcome illness.
Paul McKenna should play but strikers Patrick Agyemang and Neil Mellor are still out of action.
Well this will be my first game of the season and i'm hoping this will be a good one.
Preston doing well in the league and will prove a very good test for Roy Keane.
