| Personally, I love the time of year, and if people want to celebrate it as a meaningless consumer holiday, then that's there own perogative. Personally, in my family it's still a religous time, and we celebrate it as that. We've never been really big on the whole present thing, so we just tend to buy each other little things, like a DVD or book. The only thing that really annoys me is the use of the word Xmas instead of Christmas, because I find it deeply insulting that the very reason for the holiday has been crossed out.
And if I was to have said that in a national newspaper, I probably would have been branded a racist. But that is today's World for you. |
