| The only state that allows gay marriage is Massachusetts(although they are trying to get a state amendment banning it). Like Jackie said thought several states do allow civil ceremonies which is basically marriage without any of the benefits(like lower taxes and shared health benefits). New York doesn't allow gay marriage or civil ceremonies, although the mayor of a town called New Paltz tried to perform some wedding ceremonies(but a judge struck them down). |
