I was reading a magazine with Lance Armstrong (he was in the article not in the room reading with me) about cancer research. He said a lot of interesting things. Mainly he talked about how the govenment declared a "war on cancer" yet funding has been going down each and every year like clockwork. Isn't that bullshit? They are actually laying off researchers and scientists.
Lance also said that 7 days in Iraq is equal to the yearly funding on cancer. Now come on, nobody has their head up their ass so far that they can't see what cancer has done. Cancer will, we all can agree, kill many, many, many more people than terrorists ever will. Especially the ones in Iraq.
It just shows how fucked up our priorities are. |
