The police incident report stated Owens said "yes" when interviewing officers asked him if he was trying to "harm himself" and "yes" again when asked if he had "taken the remainder of the prescription."
But by Wednesday afternoon, Owens said he didn't even remember most of the evening's events, and definitely didn't remember answering questions for the responding officers.
"I wasn't as coherent as maybe they thought I was," Owens said.
Owens would go on to say, "The rumor of taking 35 pills is absurd. I wouldn't be here if I had taken 35 pills."
Owens has been taking pain medication for the past week, following his surgery on Sept. 18 to place a metal plate over his fractured fourth metacarpal on his right hand to help facilitate healing. In fact, Parcells said last Wednesday Owens had a bad reaction to pain medication and was sent home while the team had its first workout during the bye week. Owens returned to The Ranch on Thursday and actually did some running with the team on Friday.

Here are a couple of tidbits of information that I thought might be interesting:
The WFAA reporter who got a hold of the police report got it before the police lieutenant did. Kinda fishy, no?
And also, the Dallas police department has had a history of corruption. The new police chief recently fired close to 20 officers for inappropriate activities. So take that for what it's worth.
T.O really needs a new publicist. She sounded like a really smug, classless........ whatever. A man of his statue? hahahaha.
The media is always all over T.O. If he farts too loud we will all hear about it and something must be wrong. This was just tooken way to far.
Yes T.O has messed up in the past, but let the man live. Lets see if he has changed at all. |
