| I find the whole "Cruise fired" headlines associated with this story laughable. Summer Redstone comes off as a stupid douch who's trying to make a name for himself for publicly spanking the biggest movie star in the world, otherwise she would have just released some bland press release citing the Cruise/Paramount breakup over creative differences or some other bologna. The fact is the guy is going to get his millions regardless, if not at Paramount then elsewhere. Read an article with Judd Apatow (of Freaks and Geeks, Undeclared, 40 year old Virgin, the good Will Ferell movies fame) where he said he and Tom were looking to do a comedy together, which sounds like the pefect rebound vehicle for him considering he's one of the most underated comedic actors of his generation, see Risky Business and Jerry McGuire as evidence of this. The guy has definitelly taken his lumps over the last year or so but I find it kind of funny many are calling this the end of his career. Tom Cruise is still a good actor and still equals $$$ at the box office and on DVD and the haters can suck on Lord Xenu's c0ck as far as I'm concerned. |
