I attended the Raw House Show on 8/13 2006 at the Charleston Civic Center in Charleston West Virginia. I am going to try and recall the matches but I may leave some of them out. This will probably not be as good as some of my past house show result threads.
Johnny Nitro with Melina vs. Harry Smith.
The crowd was really cheering for Harry Smith it was good to see. He was really good in the ring. The crowd was really against Nitro. It was a good back and forth match but Harry Smith picked up the win.
Randy Orton vs. Gene Snitzky
Before the match started Randy Orton took the mic and said that he was going to kill Hogan at Summerslam. This match was very one sided and Randy hit the RKO and got the pin.
Eugene vs. Oleg
Oleg was not very impressive. He is a big guy but he is very slow. I was not impressed. Oleg picked up the easy win against Eugene.
Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch vs. The Highlanders
This was a very good match. Early on all four guys were in the ring. The Highlanders threw both Cade and Murdoch outside and they teased an argument on the outside. They "made up" and hugged each other. Cade and Murdoch then got the upper hand for a while. Then The Highlanders got the upperhand again and they hit their finishing move and got the pin.
Candice Michelle vs. Victoria
Maria was the special guest announcer for this match.
This was advertised as a bra and panties match but it ended up just being a regular match.
It was pretty bad. But how can I complain? I mean I got to see Candice Michelle live.
Candice got the win.
Umaga vs. Val Venis
Before the match Armando Alejandro Estrada took the mic and asked the crowd if anyone in the audience thought they could take on his monster. He invited them to jump over the railing and find out. Of course the security didn't let anyone do that though. This was another very one sided match. Umaga picked up the squash victory.
The Spirit Squad vs. Shawn Micheals and Ric Flair
The Spirit Squad came out first. Then Shawn Michaels came down to the ring and took the mic. He said that it was brought to his attention that they had crossed into Flair country about 100 miles ago. Then he called for Flair to come down to the ring to be his partner. Flairs music hit but he didn't come out. Then the DX music hit and out came Flair wearing a DX shirt and Michaels said that Flair was an honorary member of DX. It was pretty funny seeing Flair do the DX sign over his head.....lol. This match was a long match. It probably went about 30 minutes. Michaels and Flair picked up the win.
Edge with Lita vs. John Cena
For the WWE Title
The crowd was very pro Cena. A couple of near falls for Cena in the match. Cena picked up Edge for the FU but Edge grabbed the ropes. Cena was trying to pull Edge off the ropes and when he let go of the ropes his feet hit the ref and knocked him out. Cena was trying to revive the ref and Edge low blowed him. Edge hit the spear and went for the pin. The ref was still out. Jonathon Coachman came down to the ring and started the count. The ref came back in the ring and grabbed Coachmans hand so he couldn't count three and then called the match. Cena wins by disqualification. The winner and still WWE Champion: Edge.
