| I've thought a lot about this in the past. And it brings me to a point about today's toys for kids that annoy me.
Here we have these "Bratz Girls" plastered all over the TV screens in ads that are meant to appeal to the young girls. Basically they are a group of cartoon girls who dress very scantily (short skirts, tube tops) and the merchandise is sold in figure, school supplies and movie form.
My hope for when i'm eventually a father, is to steer my girl away from idolising characters like these. Because without doubt kids will emulate what they see. With that in mind, i would try to get my daughter to idolise classier figures and keep "sluttier" thoughts out of their head.
Because truth be told, if my little girl grew up to be slutty, i have no idea what i would do or how i would cope. |
