| I suppose his opinion just stems from what is probably a truth, in that every jewish person of a certain age that lives in Europe claims to have been in a concentration camp. If you meet a man of 60 in this country he'll probably claim that he was at Wembley Stadium when we won the soccer World Cup in 1966. If it were true, there would have been about 30 million in the stadium that day instead of 100,000 (ish).
Of course a celebration of a sporting occassion is a nonsense in comparison to the holocaust, however the theory remains even for such dire events.
Whilst there are probably many people that claim to have been there that weren't, and that maybe a slight annoyance to people that support far right causes, blatantly denying it is ludicrous and adds nothing to his cause, in fact, quite the opposite. |
