| NFL: Green Pay Packers - TERRIBLE in 2005, with admittedly very little chance of returning to the playoffs in 2006. I hope Favre comes back, and I'm still optimistic, but I really don't think he'll win another SB.
NHL: Vancouver Canucks - Have crashed and burned since the Olympic Break, and now find themselves just outside the playoff picture. With three games left they need to gain 2 points on the Oilers, or sweep the Sharks and hope for a bit of help along the way.
MLB: Toronto Blue Jays - Revamped for 2006, thanks to GM JP Ricciardi and president Rogers. They should contend in the AL East, but aren't really favoured to do any real damage.
NBA: Toronto Raptors - Future looks bright with Bosh and Villanueva, plus a high pick in year's (weak) draft. Mike James is decent, but the team needs a true point guard, badly.
College: West Virginia Mountaineers - Had a great football season in 2005 with a bunch of freshman, and could definitely make some BCS noise in 2006; real heartbreaker in basketball though. |
