Vernon Davis is tricky, really. I'd say he's a better prospect right now then Michael Huff (there are Packers fans clamouring for Davis to be the pick as well), but I think that for Davis to really thrive, he needs to be in an offense that already has a few weapons. Like if defensive coordinators already have to worry about a stud RB or a star WR, Davis will be a fucking nightmare (think Antonio Gates). Davis is probably the most dynamic tight end prospect in the last 10 years, and phsyically he's a freak as well.

But then, if Davis were to go to the 49ers, I think defenses would have the resources to lock him down most of the time. There just wouldn't be anything else in the 49ers offense to free him up.

As for the Packers, I've thought about if Leinart or Young fell to #5 (if neither one does, Mario Williams will likely be there!), and I really wouldn't be upset if the Packers took another QB. Obviously Rodgers still needs to be given a fair shot, but the way I see it, any GM in his right mind would give up two #1's for a franchise QB, and if one of the two picks turns into that QB, then there you go (obviously it's no lock). I'm also not very high on Rodgers, but that's besides the point. I do think he needs a fair shot.
