| My parents are Charismatic Catholics, Catholic fanatics out in right field who exemplify fanaticism. They crammed that stuff down my throat along with the "if you don't go to church every sunday you're going to hell." First of all God isn't Elvis so he's not at a certain place and at a certain time - you're told he's everywhere so why do i need to go to a certain place on a certain day. Second, you're told to treat everyone equally, and yet they bash gays, hold women down (rightswise), so until there is progression you're not seeing me in the church or listening to much I was taught. I feel that it is what you do in this life that makes you a good Catholic/Christian. |
