Slim, again I think you are missing my initial point. I won't even re-state it because it's obviously not worth it.

I don't want to believe in the bible nor do I want to "understand" it in that sense. I realise that you and I have fundamental differences in our opinion on this matter. That doesn't, however, mean that I don't know the bible or in your own words haven't "read" it.

The flood stories are common in just about every single religion. There's historical evidence, carbon dating (the method which will be used to prove Noah's Ark), to prove that the story comes else where. Call me a liar, call me Satan, call me wrong, or call me an atheist. I'm just expressing my viewpoint on the subject. I am entitled to have one just as you are.
