I saved a wad of cash when I was in my late teens for a holiday and drew it all out of the bank the day before I was due to go. Then, needing a tiny bit more for the bus ride home, and not wanting to break into my holiday cash yet, I got a little more out of the ATM inside the bank. I'd put my wallet full of my holiday cash on top of the ATM.

Outside I saw my boss and decided if I ran real quick I could catch it. To my relief, I did.

Later at home, my Dad asked me if I'd got my holiday money out. I said yeah it's on my wallet on the table, to which he said no it wasn't. I did that thing where you act cool at first, making out your not bothered or that your parent is just being stupid, but it quickly dawned on me what had happened so I got him to drive me straight back into town and to the bank.

I told the tellers about the wallet being missing and described it etc and eventually a secretary came out of the office for me to go see the bank manager.

The manager was a pretty smug guy and started asking me descriptive questions about the wallet. What colour was it, how many zippers, how much money was in it. Obviously, I got all the questions right until he then said "also there is one thing in this persons wallet that only they would know was there, tell me what it is and it's yours".

My mind was racing, pics of my g/f, my family, a little note my g/f had given to me that I'd kept, all sorts of stuff was coming out but I was just getting shakes of the head....until it hit me.

Inside the zipper, the smallest zipper, is an emergency condom....just in case!! Bingo, that was the answer the smug bastard had me reaching for for 10 minutes.

I should have stabbed him!! (funnily enough when it did become the time for the "emergency condom" to have it's day in the sun, it was about a year out of date and just fell apart in my hands!!)
