i am from canada and from saskatchewan now those who know anything about sask you know we are the most diehard fans anywhere, we cheer for our riders like no other team, and my dad is really into football
now i played 5 years of cfl style football and compared to the nfl style of play its much better
k heres why i believe so
we have a longer field makes: more field for offense to work with , but also more field for offense to travel, defense has more field to cover but also more room for them to break
wider field: this creates for a better running game bc you have more room on the outside to work with
bigger ball: makes it harder for the quarterbacks to throw it so you need to have a real arm to throw a ball like that
12 guys on the field: this creates a lot more possibility with plays
3 downs: i love this rule some hate it but i love it, nfl you only need 2.5 yards a down to get a first down, you need about a yard more in the cfl may nto sound like much but a yard in footbal is lots
i could keep going but ill leave you guys to talk about this

THOUGHTS
All the above also have downsides. My thoughts on this is...

Longer field - Not to much wrong hear. But it just seems like the scoring would be less. Much harder to score and such. But I don't see a problem with it.

Wider - Well we all know football is a game to win. Thats given. But when it comes down to around the 2 minute mark and below in the 4th, and you need a feild goal to win or tie. You have 1 or 2 timeouts left, you going to need to run out of bounds. This option cost you alot of seconds in that. If you throw you and he catchs it at about the 15 yard line, and there is no way for him to make it to the endzone, he need to go out of bounds, and stop the clock. This is to preserve time. But the wider feild atleast cost 1 or 2 seconds to reach the out of bounds. This time after a play or so can cost this tem a play. So they would go for it aall more than none. Personally I love seeing a team do their damndest to reach the endzone when it is all on the line. But I also would like to think that sometime you need more time.

Bigger Ball - It is harder to throw but easier to catch really. So it doesn't help out alot or does it hurt.

12 guy - Eh, don't know.

3 plays - This is bad option in my view because t means in the middle of a dead heat game you only have 2 downs before you get you options are best to punt. NFL, it is 3 down and a punt. This give the team more time, and makes it less stressfull. That way instead of gainging 5 yards atleast a play or having to punt, you gain like you said 3.7 yards.

Now gridiron, or American football was made famous by both The States and Canada, between McGill and Harvard. Playing 2 diffrent games. But right now I would ahve to lean towards NFL. It really has laways been popular, just look at the record for the NFL, I believe it dates back to when it was the AFL.
