On the whole Bush/Young thing.. I have to agree with you. Bush is the much safer pick, Texans would be making a bit of a gamble IMO if they went anywhere else with the 1st pick.
The only debate I've ben having, including on here with Freak and DMW, is that if I was the Saints, I'd take Young over Leinhart. Reason being, Leinhart might be safe to be at least a decent QB, but to me doesn't have the on-field potential of Young nor the marketing potential of Young. And The Saints could really use a face like Young's to market their poor franchise. Much like what Atlanta was able to do with Vick.
As far as those QB's you've listed.. We have to wait for a lot of them right now to see where they are. Rodgers and Rivers haven't even gotten to play yet. There are a ton of guys that sucked though..
I'll even go back to the likes of Ty Detmer or Andre Ware. It's extremely tough to find a QB that's a "lock".. I'm not sure if it even exists. Maybe Elway or somebody like that was a lock coming out.. Who else? I dunno.. |
