| Have any of you American fans heard of a cricket player called Don Bradman (he was Australian).
I know, in baseball and the like, American sports fan like stats and stuff which is one way of showing in Cricket how one player was better than another (though not the only way).
Bradman recorded a test batting average of 99.9 in his career (which spanned a long time). You are basically considered a good test player if you average over 40. Over 50 and you're world class. Over 60 and you're amongst the best ever. I think the next one under Bradman was a South African called Graeme Pollock which was something like an average of 65.
Bradman was a player that stood absolutely strides and strides ahead of any other batsman in the sport ever. |
