| *SPOILERS WITHIN*
It's very boring and the story is incredibly difficult to follow. You know how some movies try to weave like 4 different stories together? Well, this movie tries to do that, but they spend so much time bouncing between the 4 different stories, you never get a true feel for any of the characters or the stories. There's only one exception, that being the kids who end becoming suicide bombers. You truly get a feel for how shitty there lives are after the merger leads to lay-offs, and how the terrorist seduces them and takes advantage of them.
Like, I never truly understood what George Clooney's character was. Was he a renegade CIA agent? A legitimate guy? Same with the lawyer...was he trying to uncover illegal activity, or was he trying to cover it up? There are so many characters, and none of them are adequately developed, with the possible exception of Matt Damon's character, and even that wasnt very well done |
