| The Heisman trophy is not an MVP award. While it doesn't have specific criteria, it's generally just meant to go to the best college football player. Therefore, it's irrelevent how good either team would be wthout them.
Also, I highly doubt USC is undefeated if they don't have Bush. Like Freak said, they probably lose to Fresno State and they would have lost to Notre Dame. Without Bush, I think USC would be more like a 9-3/8-4 team. Lendale White is a generic "big" back and possibly the most overrated player in the country, and Leinart is great, but not good enough to carry the team on his shoulders week after week, especially with USC's mediocre defense. |
