Why does the UK even bother? Seriously.

First of all, we all know Prince William will not be on the front lines of Iraq. He'll be shuffling papers around somewhere in London, mostly downloading porn on the Internet.

Second of all, this then means that some guy who WOULD'VE been shuffling papers around will now be dodging bullets in Iraq in his freetime.

Why bother? Prince William doesn't really need to bother with this, can't he do something else? Surely there's some tea and crumpets with his name on it.

I realize that he is going to be the next King and the King controls the military or something silly like that in the UK, but then judging by Prince Charles that just means doing some fancy handshakes, so what's the point?

Let a guy who really wants to be in the military have that job. Don't have that idiot get in the way.
