| The Red Sox did a good job defending their title, what with all the injuries to the pitching staff and Damon (who played hurt the last month and wasn't very effective). Letting Pedro and Lowe go turned out to be a bigger deal that Epstein thought. Should be interesting to see what moves Boston makes in the off-season to shore up the rotation. And, you have to wonder if Schilling will ever be the same again?
I think the Cardinals will win the World Series. They've been the best team all year, IMO and with Carpenter healthy, they're in much better shape this year than last year when they made it to the Series. |
