| Should Baseball celebrate #756? Barry Bonds is back after mising pretty much the whole season, and nobody cares about it, but maybe the Giants fans and of course, ESPN.. I was just watching Sportscenter and apparently Bonds hit a home run in last night's game vs. LA. I was wondering if he'd be the same Barry when he finally came back and he might just be.. I looked up his stats and he's hitting .313 with 2 Homers in 16 at bats (1 homer per 8 at bats) which is basically what he was doing before he got hurt.
There is no reason for me to believe that he won't break Hank Aaron's record.
So..with that said, I ask you, should baseball with all the steroid controversy surrounding the game, celebrate his record breaking home run?
It's a tough situation. Everyone in the world thinks Bonds has done steroids for at least a couple of years, but if they tested him right now, obviously he'd be clean. He's never tested positive, and baseball will never have any real proof he has used steroids unless he does test positive.
If this was Palmeiro, I'd say they don't celebrate it, but Bonds.. I don't know what they should do.
So what do you think? And, "I hate Bonds" or "Bonds is an asshole" isn't a real answer.
Ty Cobb was an asshole. |
