IGO Fantasy Football (20 Teams) (1-0-0) - I got bored of the usual go after the best players on offense (A three hour 20 team draft also had me so bored I just stopped caring) and ended up with going after players I thought would be sleeper players in this league. I picked some safer bets like Owens still and then my D players are non-sleeper players. But so far it is going good. Easily won in week one at least.

FW Football (12 Teams) (1-0-0) - This is the team I had the most confidence in going into week one but coming out of week one it is the team I have the least confidence in. But some like Ward should play better next week.

Preparation H (Fox League) (6 Teams) (1-0-0) - The league I don't really care about. Fox had to have six teams before it would draft and shortly before the draft there were only four so I figured it wouldn't happen. Then two people did join so I ended up with an auto drafted team which I always hate. Even if the team doesn't end up awful like this one. Guess I should at least try a little and get rid of Walker. There also seems to be a ton of problems with the league. :thumbsd: Yahoo is a lot better and I will probably stop bothering with this league if these problems keep up.

QBM. Bulger (STL - QB)News: Marc Bulger went 34-for-56 for 362 yards, two touchdowns and one interception in week one.

Impact: Bulger threw 40 more passes than his counterpart Tim Rattay as San Francisco edged the Rams by three. The red zone struggles of 2004 continued for the Rams for most of the day until a strong finish. (Sep. 11)

RBE. James (IND - RB)News: Edgerrin James gained 114 total yards in week one.

Impact: He rushed 23 times for 88 yards and caught three passes for 26 yards. It was a good effort versus the Ravens, but James owners should be concerned he couldn't punch it in near the goal-line a few times. He may stop getting the chances. (Sep. 12)

RBJ. Lewis (BAL - RB)News: Jamal Lewis broke a finger during Sunday night's game.

Impact: He stayed in the contest, so we don't expect the injury to be a major concern. Baltimore doesn't use him much in the passing game anyway. (Sep. 12)

WRT. Holt (STL - WR)News: Tory Holt had 10 receptions for 125 yards in week one.

Impact: San Francisco was ahead the entire game, so St. Louis passed the ball 56 times. Holt remains one of the elite, must-start receivers in the game. (Sep. 11)

WRJ. Walker (GB - WR)News: Coach Mike Sherman confirmed Monday that Javon Walker will miss the 2005 season with a torn ACL.

Impact: He will be placed on injured reserve sometime soon. Sherman mentioned that the team will search the waiver for free agent options. We wonder if Koren Robinson, Troy Edwards, or David Terrell are back in play after getting 'temporarily' cut in salary cap moves last week. (Sep. 12)

WRM. Clayton (TB - WR)News: Michael Clayton caught four passes for 57 yards in week one.

Impact: He had two ugly drops. Ultimately, if the Bucs have more weapons this season, it will help Clayton's numbers. Don't panic. (Sep. 11)

TET. Heap (BAL - TE)News: Todd Heap caught four passes for 38 yards in week one.

Impact: At least he stayed healthy. Heap's production should improve as he gets used to playing again. He barely practiced in the preseason. (Sep. 12)

WR/RBC. Portis (WAS - RB)News: Clinton Portis had 21 carries for 121 yards against the Bears.

Impact: Portis carried the Redskins on offense. He'll face the Cowboys in week two and have a bye in week three. (Sep. 11)

WR/RBJ. Porter (OAK - WR) QNews: Jerry Porter caught three passes for 48 yards in week one.

Impact: Porter missed some snaps in the second half, but was basically at full strength. Porter is okay to use next week versus the Chiefs. (Sep. 9)

BenchD. Brees (SD - QB)News: Drew Brees completed 18-of-35 passes for 209 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions in a week one loss.

Impact: He threw only seven interceptions all of last year. San Diego finished the game with four straight incomplete passes inside the ten. Antonio Gates would have come in handy. (Sep. 11)

BenchR. Brown (MIA - RB)News: Ronnie Brown rushed the ball 22 times for 57 yards in week one.

Impact: The rookie got a nice workload in his first game, but didn't get good acceleration on his carries. Sammy Morris found the end zone on a fourth quarter rush. (Sep. 11)

BenchJ. Arrington (ARI - RB)News: J.J. Arrington rushed eight times for five yards and caught four passes for 22 yards in week one.

Impact: Sometimes, the preseason tells us something. Arrington continued his habit of dancing behind the line of scrimmage. He ran tentatively and gave way to Marcel Shipp early in the game and in the red zone. His fantasy owners should be concerned. (Sep. 11)

BenchD. Driver (GB - WR)News: Donald Driver will move from his usual flanker position to split end to replace Javon Walker.

Impact: The Packers better hope they aren't weakening two positions, instead of one. This isn't good news in points-per-reception leagues. Driver is likely to catch less passes, but make more big plays. More importantly, he'll face tougher cornerbacks. (Sep. 12)

BenchM. Hasselbeck (SEA - QB)News: Matt Hasselbeck went 21-for-37 for 246 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions in week one.

Impact: Darrell Jackson and Bobby Engram were Hasselbeck's mains two targets. He'll go against the Falcons in week two and is a solid QB1. (Sep. 11)

BenchE. Moulds (BUF - WR)News: Eric Moulds left Satuday's preseason game with bruised ribs.

Impact: J.P. Losman hung him out to dry during a second-quarter play, where Moulds was hammered. Moulds has only two catches for six yards in two frustrating efforts for Buffalo's passing offense. (Aug. 20)

BenchT. Duckett (ATL - RB)News: T.J. Duckett rushed eight times for 15 yards and a touchdown in a week one victory.

Impact: Duckett owners have to hope he gets a closer split of carries with Warrick Dunn. Duckett's score was in a goal-line situation. (Sep. 13)

BenchC. Pennington (NYJ - QB)News: Chad Pennington went 21-for-34 for 264 yards and an interception in week one.

Impact: Pennington fumbled the ball six times, losing three of them. Jay Fiedler replaced Pennington and tossed a toughdown in the closing seconds. (Sep. 11)

Pos.KickerEditLatest News
KS. Janikowski (OAK - K)News: Raiders re-signed kicker Sebastian Janikowski to a five year, $10.5 million contract.

Impact: Maybe he hasn't lived up to his pre-draft hype. But Seabass is among the ten best kickers in football every season. The Raiders were smart to lock him up. (Dec. 13)
