| Some pretty vague finger pointing going on here.
During the last election, I remember Sarah Michelle Geller being interviewed in a magazine and she said she is strongly based on one political side, but wouldn't reveal what it was as it may effect people who were fans to vote that way. That is ok in an official interview with a magazine shoot, that's like putting out your opinions on the job. Celebrities are followed 24/7, and usually let something slip when their every word is recorded.
Johnny Depp got in a bit of trouble with patriotic Americans because he said America was something like a 'Dumb puppy'. Among countlessly defending himself, he did come up with the inarguable point, that no-matter what he says it shouldn't be taken seriously because hes just an actor, not a politician. He's just a guy with an opinion like everyone else in the world, but his, and every other celebrities, opinions are propelled into being something larger.
I dont know if a lot of people actually do listen to celebrities actual advice, but they do like to keep an eye on a celebrity and criticise them if they say something stupid. |
