| As a member of the sports media, this incident had me very, very heated. Rogers needs his ass kicked for pulling a stunt like that. Who does he think he is to just knock someone else's professional equipment out of their hands like that? He also got a good kick in too. To me, 20 games is light; he should have to sit out the rest of the year. It was assault, bottom line and the whole thing was caught on tape, so there's nowhere for him to hide on the matter. Dude obviously has anger issues, what with this incident and smashing his hand into the water cooler a few weeks ago.
I just wish the cameraman would've stood up for himself better than he did. If that was me, I would've gotten right in Rogers' face and said "What the **** is your problem?" All he would have to do is lay one hand on me and I'd be all over him. I wouldn't care if his teamamtes jumped in, at some point you have to stand up for yourself as a man and be like "I'm not taking his **** or anyone else's ****"
In the end the cameraman did the right thing and pressed charges (although I question how badly he was injured; seemed like he was exaggerating a bit).
Rogers is a loser who besides a perfect game 11 years ago; hasn't done crap. Oh, and by the way Kenny, us Mets fans haven't forgiven you for walking in the winning run in Game 6 of the NLCS against the Braves. Way to go, buddy. |
