| On the negative side, I think he's become quite the hypocrite. Remember him complaining about the "glass ceiling" and being punished because of the Klik and MSG in 96 (or thereabouts)? Now he's installed his own personal glass ceiling and is so protective of his position he's pulling another Hogan.
On the plus side, the guy busted his rear end to become one of the all-time greats. I remember back in '99 the guy could barely speak on the stick if he wasn't screaming "SUCK IT!". I was at the RAW where he first started referring to himself as The Game and remember coming away really impressed with how good of a promo that was. He got better in leaps and bounds every week, and there were times when he really did carry the fed. The match where he tore his quad and not only finished the match but took the Walls of Jericho on a table with the injury is legendary in my eyes.
I think he is really a good worker and probably a good guy, but unless he can control his ego he's going to be remembered for holding more guys back than he put over. |
