BIG sports news day today
First off, Phil Jackson signed with the Lakers. All I can say is GOOD!!!

He's coached his entire career with the most dominant player in the league on his team (Jordan, then Shaq). Let's see what he can do with a team that is on the way down, rather than on the way up.

Secondly, the world record in the 100-meter dash was broken today. Asafa Powell of Jamaica ran a 9.77, breaking the previous record of 9.78 set by the Tim Montgomery of the U.S.
