| Yup...I was at the game last night. The best was the second homerun. He hit a 3-run shot in the first inning, and then Colon threw one up and in the next at-bat, so A-Rod crushed the next pitch for his second home-run.
He got curtain calls after the second and third HR's.
Also, I was sitting in the Right Field bleachers with the nut-jobs. All I'll say is that during a blowout, you see and hear some pretty interesting things out there. Well, you hear those things every game, but ESPECIALLY during a blowout, haha.
As for the best SS, I'll pick Tejada. Great with the bat, great in the field, pretty clutch too. Remember when Oakland had that 20-game winning streak a few years ago and he had like 3 walk-off HR's during that streak? It was in his MVP year.
I'll say Jeter is #2. Not to alarm anyone, but Jeter's hitting .355 this year, and he's a genuine 20-20 threat every year. NOBODY in baseball has more clutch plays the last 10 years (Since his rookie year in 1996). The flip, the dive into the stands, a catch falling into the stands against the A's in the playoffs, the walk-off homerun in Game 4 of the 2001 World Series, the walk-off homerun against the Red Sox earlier this year, the Jeffrey Maier homerun, and many more.
Also, he only batted .292 last year, but thats because he got off to a HORRENDOUS start. He was batting .189 on May 25. He batted .338 the rest of the season.
Plus, he fucked Jessica Alba.
also, Carlos Guillen of the Tigers is batting .400 so far. He's got some power too. Looks like he could be the next big SS. |
