Wow, you really had me until you said that. Clearly you are going on what you see or read in the media to determine this. This citys goal was this:

Win the World Series. plain and simple.

But any hardcore Red Sox fan wanted to have to go THROUGH New York to win it. Like you said, it was David and Goliath. Eventually David wins in the end.

I just want to make it clear that NOT ONE person in this city would have been satisfied with simply beating NY to go to the Series. It was about getting that 700 pound, flea infested, stepped in poop gorilla off our backs.

Here is another thing about this city that gets vastly underrated. Yes, we fucking hate the Yankees. But we respect them. (shhh, dont tell ANYONE in Boston I just said that. lol)


And Mister D, the Sox and the Yanks need each other, but not as much as the rest of MLB needs them.
