I think a few of us (granted not all of us!!) are saying basically the same things.

The Italian league is an awesome level of football, but it is played in such a tactical manner that those of us reared on the Premiership cannot enjoy it.

The Spanish league is the "next best thing" to those of us in the UK because of the open and attacking football played there. It also helps that a couple of high profile England players play there.

I remember years ago when they first started showing Italian footie on Channel 4 and ITV were showing Championship footie (non premier). I used to think, wow today I'm going to watch Roma-Juve and then 20 minutes into the match I'd be channel hopping to ITV to watch Grimsby-Huddersfield or something equally crap sounding just so I could see a bit of a goalmouth action and incident.

Narc, I guess it's just the way we're reared over here. We're football philistines.....but we're happy that way :gray:
