| Reyes happy with his debut José Antonio Reyes says that he is happy with his World Cup debut after he started for Spain in their match against Saudi Arabia.
Spain won 1-0 but they had already qualified from their group, and fielded a completely different starting eleven, demonstrating their strength in-depth when players like Reyes and Fabregas are not part of the first eleven.
Reyes also made a significant contribution to the match, setting up Spain's winning goal with a free-kick.
Reyes said: "I am extremely happy to have made the assist for my team´s goal on my World Cup debut.
"Personally, I felt good, I wasn't nervous at all despite making my debut in a top tournament." |
