| Senderos the hero Philippe Senderos powered Switzerland through to the next round of the World Cup when he rose above a crowd of players and headed the ball home from a free kick.
Senderos suffered a broken nose and ran away celebrating his goal with blood dripping down his face.
The young central defender suffered another injury when he injured his shoulder and is now a big doubt for the Swiss' next match against the Ukraine.
Switzerland's coach Kobi Kuhn said: "It does not look good for the next match, it is very doubtful.
"He pulled his shoulder out of place and it has been pushed back in, but there is ligament damage.
"It is not too good at the moment."
Senderos didn't even wait for the substitute to be brought on the pitch when he injured his shoulder, and went off the pitch on his own accord.
Club teammate Johan Djourou was brought on to take his place. |
